    mscomm under win2k

    my VB6 sp5 program talks to a remote device using the serial port using MSComm .output .input oncomm event

    It works in win95/98 OK but not win2K
    Similar programs I have written using serial comms run OK on win2k!

    Anyone know of any win2k mscomms problems?

    im doing somthing very similar and i developed my app on win 9X

    however recently my PC's got a os upgrade to win2k

    i did encounter some strange problems...which i presume was my code.

    one thing to check is the properties the mscomm object is set as that can cuase lots of problems!!
