Befuddled installing new Active X

I have just created my first Active X control and it works fine on my machine and shows all associated properties. I move it to my test machine, which has a very similar configuration to my design machine, and register it. When I use it from anything, HTML, VB, or Active X control Pad, none of my properties are visible. Why does it work for me on my design machine but not on my test bed? What am I missing?
