    Post Linux & Windows

    Ok, im planning for my future computer. Its gonna have 2 hard drives, one for Linux and one for Windows. My problem is, how do you choose which drive to boot from. I mean, if you have to hard drives, and you turn your computer on, does it ask you which one? Or do you need some kind of special program to do any of this kind of stuff?

    You need a Boot Manger, as you would with any dual boot system. I know Partition Magic includes one, and one probably comes with NT/2K...not sure about them.

    There are a few things you could do, you could have windows as the default, and boot into linux with a disk. Or you could get a boot manager. Or both, as I have. I screwed up the installation of Linux and can't get into it without a boot disk(not even with a boot manager)...

    It will boot from the system partion (boot partion) this will be sorted on install of your OS, I suggest you install windows first.
