Yes, can we have all the pom-bashing Aussies admit that when they hit the heights of smugness, the fall hurts bad?

Not really gaffer! We make excuses!

No no our defense was well what defense?

You British Lions played very well. Aussies played crap but i have a few thoughts on this matter!

    1) British Lions consist of Wales, Scotland, England and France correct. It's the Northern Hemisphere major Rugby Teams. So to be fair we should have New Zealand and South Africa in our team to be a true fair match. Nothern Hemi Vesus Southern Hemi.
I dont need to even state that you would be hammered!

    2) This is a truely sad story! The gabba had 75% british fans there were more tickets allocated to british fans then australian.
    This really *****s me.

    3) Good time to mention cricket! Which i will no doubt eat my words because aussies havent one at Edgebaston for 3 ashes tours!

    LOL Hairy muff

1: Its England Scotland, Ireland and Wales. i.e. the UK. This is how all our international temas should be formd, as Team Britain rather than Scotland trying to compete with Brazil, say, in football. And before you get onto numbers, don't forget that rugby has a similar following in the UK than in OZ. Most people don't give a monkeys until an Aussie temp starts giving **** at work...

2: The Gabba had 12,000 british fans. Th Gabba had 37,460 there that day...

3: I concede defeat already in the cricket. We're a bunch of washed out no-hopers. I won't be celebrating if we win.

For a change, our country can be proud of our Rugby team (who, I have to say, would definately give a combined southern hemisphere a run for its money), and our Football.

    its about bloody time

    I totally agree Gaffer.

No other country in the world splits itself up to try and win, why the hell should we?!?

So yeah beacon, it is actually a lot fairer if it's the lions against aus than just england or scotland on their own when they're part of the same damn country

But not only that they call it the northern hemisphere v southern hemisphere bollocks.

The southern hemi would be unbeatable in union. South Africa, New Zealand and Australia my bloody god the reason that will never happen is coz Aust hate Kiwis and kiwis hate oz and we both hate S.A.

So it's farier to combine 3 countries against 1?
And i might add your 3 countries population is far greater than our 1 countries population. Plus you get to combine 3 nations into 1 team.
But i do see your point you must have to combine 3 countries to beat us i get it!!
Hey if you lose in melbourne we'll let you borrow some kiwi's as well!!!

"Most people don't give a monkeys until an Aussie temp starts giving **** at work... "
You have an aussie temp in?

    Unhappy *SOB* *SOB*

The Lions outplayed us in all areas of the game. Truely awesome display by the men in red.

Disagree Beacon, the Lions only ever form to tour, therefore constantly play away games. Damn fine record they have in Oz though 17 wins 3 loses. Of course we will cream them in the final two tests.

On even worse news for OZ.

Kiwis beat Aussies in under 21 world title.

Speaking of which, All Blacks extracted some degree of revenge in slaughtering the soap challenged French.

For the second test, bring in the date hunter! Hoppa would upset the pomgolian backline

No, you're not seeing the point.

England, Scotland and Wales are the same country. Why the ***** do we split ourselves into 3 in sport?!? It's stupid

If Aus split itself into 3 (say WA, Centre Aus and EA) obviously that isn't fair because it's only a third of Aus against the whole of some other country. So you see it isn't fair that England play Aus when it's only a third of the country.

It's not comparing like with like. Britain against Aus is therefore fairer than England against Aus. Doesn't matter that on it's own england has 3 times the pop of aus, because so do a load of other countries, yet you don't compain when (if) they beat you. We would stop all this nationalistic crap and start competing as Britain. We'd do a lot better.

Jes, is that a low flying 747 overhead or chris whinging

The Lions are a rugby tradition, and one of the top international teams. Was kinda hopeing they could have organised a Anzac vs Lions match, (only one played so far was won by the poms). Of course then you might as well just have an All Black vs Lions test as not alot of the wannabees would make the team.

    Hmmm probably,

    Mat Burke
    Kefu

and that would be about it.

Claiming a record folks, have managed to insult six countries in the one post

No whinging, just saying how it is, and how it should be...

It is perfectly fair for britain to compete as Britain. Why shouldn't we, everyone else does?!?

Does each state in the US compete in global games on it's own?! Of course not. That would be a good one, California v Australia!! I don't think so, yet everyone thinks we should. Makes no sense.

    And no whinging!!!!!!!!!!

Still think your wrong about northen hemi vs southern hemi Beacs. Looking at the Yarpis recently I'm not convinced they're much cop. We would also have the luxury of choosing French players.

Oh, BTW, this could be interpreted as being embarrassing for you blokes - depends how you read it
