Looks to me like MS is overlooking some rather blatant holes in the .NET/"software as a service" model.

One such gaping whole is the well known fact that MS has lots of enemies - especially among Linux hackers. Hackers that have used DDOS against MS, and will do so again.

What happens to your customers when a DDOS attack keeps them from getting the "software as a service" that you promised?

Do they get a break on their bill? How are they compensated for the lack of service? What about the customers they may not be able to serve and the business that they may lose in such a situation? Will MS be sued for damages?

DDOS attacks are one of the most vicious, hard-to-track and even-harder-to-stop tactics currently used against online entities.

Why does MS think it is immune from such an attack? Or have they just overlooked this little detail?
