I have an ActiveX Document that is downloaded as a cab file from our network. Users use this application to access company databases via IE. I am having a problem on a Windows 2000 machine. When the machine tries to download the cab file, I get a msgbox asking if I want to "Run From Current Location" or "Save File To Disk". Ordinarily, clicking on the proper link should install (if needed) and run the application, not bring up this msgbox.

I've experienced this problem before on Windows 95/98/NT Workstation and all I had to do was remove a couple of registry keys and it starting working properly. I removed the keys from the 2000 machine that MS said to and it still doesn't recognize the .vbd file.

The really odd thing is that when I was logged on as an Administrator, it worked okay. Only when I logged on as the user did I experience the problem. Now when I log on as an Administrator I have the same problem.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks,

Chris
