Windows Taskbar

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are api calls that let you manipulate the icons on the Windows Taskbar for the open applications. For instance show/hide them, and change the order in which they appear. Is this possible?

You can easily hide the windows via the ShowWindow API function.
