My opinion is that we are being observed like the mouses in a lab...

With any luck they'll choose me to measure the effects of alchohol and multi-partner (straight) sex on the human body.

...and if they are among us, where they could be ??? NASA, FBI, CIA, White House, Black House, Blue House, Red House, Micro$oft...and who could they be ??? Bill Gates, Bush, Fidel Castro... and what are they thinking to do with us ???? eat us, drink us , f**k us...
just want to read your opinions...

This must be a record for a thread, dragged into the gutter and out again in the space of the first two replies :D
Personally, I believe there is life out there. I am unsure as to whether they have managed to overcome the limitations of space travel either (And it's not just the time involved in travelling, which planet do you visit, would you have power to slow down, turn around an dhead back, what if you bought disease back with you, how do you know that they aren't hostile?). So they probably haven't visited us yet.

Hey in case you haven't noticed, there's someone here who has a signature that says "The best proof that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe is that they didn't try to contact us." :D
Personally, I think they wanna destroy Earth. But since they're so intelligent, they'll let us do the job for them :p

Hey, here's a weird thought: since physics have rules and all, don't you think it would be possible that we're just a big simulation in an alien computer-like thing?
Also aliens are almost certainly NOT anything like you see in movies. In other environments, even if they use our DNA technique, they surely found other ways to survive. Imagine a giant fungus covering a whole planet or a race that can naturaly travel trough space, explores a planet's natural resources and then goes to another one, even if the process takes millions of years... or even a giant creature that absorbs gas planets and consumes them, then travelling to another one...
Just some scary thoughts...

Too much TV Jotaf98?
Mainly I see aliens as today's witches, ghosts, oogie boogies, dragons and other fantastic characters which were created by general fears in the past. I wouldn't call it fiction either.

Look, if aliens look like us is because they created us. Just another scary thought :)
No I don't watch too much TV because here we don't have much fiction films :(

Yeah sorry to disappoint you guys but I'm an alien and what I said in this thread is true in our galaxy, our beloved #&$£€"3 :p
Yes my avatar is actually a picture of me, it's weird, we made a game about us a while ago with real pictures and it sold millions of copies, we called it Jazz Jackrabbit :)

Hmm.... looking at Jotaf's signature, sounds suspiciously like not getting drunk enough, and watching The Matrix too much

You're kidding, right? I mean, I've only watched it 11 times (that I remember of :p )
As to the drunk part, sorry to disappoint you but I hate it :)
But I'm crazy about chocolate, maybe that's the reason :p
Btw the matrix has nothing to do with aliens (unless we were created by aliens/came here in an asteroid so basically the aliens we're looking for are us or all the other life forms on Earth and... huh sorry :p ). I just like to watch RTP2 sometimes (it's a culture channel here in Portugal and sometimes it has some really cool programs about aliens and technology in general, like the Discovery Channel).

Yeah I know hehe but I receive a weekly magazine (Visão - the portuguese version of Times :p ) that includes the programs of the week so I always know when to watch them (because the rest of the programs there aren't THAT interesting as zuperman said ;) )

Sorry to butt in but here is my opinion.
I think it is definate that there is another life form in the universe. Whether they are intelligent is unknown. More intelligent that us? No, I don't think so. People who believe that aliens would come to our planet and try to kill us think that all other aliens are smarter than us (and possibly watch to many Sci-fis).
We are the only beings who can do advanced mathematics, create technology etc... Well, what I'm trying to say is that you'd never see another species on this planet develop something which would be of use to all other species. I can't think what humans have made, but I'll get one soon.
Tell a man there are 300,000,000,000 stars in the universe, and he'd believe you. Tell a man that a bench has wet paint and he'd have to touch it to make sure. -- ...I can't remember.

You'0re probably right, but if there are so many planets around the universe... that means lots of life forms. Some of them MUST be intelligent I think :p
