    < Not VB Office 2002 >

I installed 2002 tonight and am having a slight problem. In my application I have a browser that I use to view and work this site.
However, since I installed 2002 I can't open a thread withing a thread...ie..if I have a thread open usually it would open a second window with the thread inside a thread...now it just sits and times out....

Anyone have anything similar happen and know what could possibly cause it....is it possible that 2002 overwrote my SP5?

It is not because of office xp

I had the same problem taht when you click on a link, it just does nothing. You should reinstall the browser or the best way is to get the latest edition of that browser and then reinstall (That is what I did) office xp does update your system files but it does not effect your system.

problems with officeXP i have experienced

    - Calender Control 8 gets installed (when office 2000) installs object 9
    - Excel Ojbect is also all messed up

    so what i did was
i have a machine thats running office 2000
i just copied these to dlls from 2000 and overrode the 2002 files
and now my program is back to normal

so what you should do is
replace the current browser activex control with one that is on a machine running office 2000

..and it is my browser as well as the browser control in my app that is acting weird.

On further trials, I can't get to the updates in Explorer as that one freezes as well....
    ...and I don't have access to 2000...as I updated from 97
