Hi,
I need to develop an VB application that will retrieve data from a OS-2 server with DB2 as dbms. I know that ODBC will properly solve this problem, but i have no experince on ODBC. I have some qestion on ODBC,
1) Do i need to install ODBC driver into the OS-2 server ?
2) The VB aplication will reside in a NT workstation, can ODBC driver retrieve data from a remote host(OS-2) server ? If yes, then do we need to setup any network configuration ?
3) Any other issue that i should consider while implement ODBC solution ?
4) Can you give me some advice on this issue ?
