That is an extremely good app you have there!! Loads of languages supported which is very cool. I like the syntax highlighting and the fact you can change the colours. Line numbers are a god send (esp. if you're used to using Notepad for Perl).

One small thing, there needs to be someway of testing what you have written, esp with perl scripts. It could simply open Perl.exe (the compiler) and send it the filename as a command line for instant debug. Also HTML could open in default browser.

Could also do with the usual Edit menu, Undo, Copy, Paste etc.

Other than those small things, it is really cool! Infact, i'm going to ditch notepad and use this. Nice one

I'd like to know the name of that main control, the combined text box and line numbers. That is a nice control.

Setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date on your system. Click OK if you would like setup to update these files for you now. You will need to restart Windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without updating system files.

***? I have latest stuff, and don't want it to copy new files
is there just a zip of the program and its files?
    that would be good.

Every passing hour brings the Solar System forty-three thousand miles closer to Globular Cluster M13 in Hercules -- and still there are some misfits who insist that there is no such thing as progress.

Er...It's not working. First it tells about surfing to your homepage and tell that program didn't close correctly, then it asks me to register (???) and when the main program opens, it says Type Mismatch (error #13). What I saw from the window...I didn't like it so I probably stick with my own editor (Finnish one...And it even works with all computers)

For setup part, I had to extract from CAB. Change to Inno Setup - it atleast works. And doesn't need restart.

Really cool editor !!! Runtime-error 51 ...this is what I get on startup. Is your program compartible with any Windows Version? (using Windows 2000 Adv. Server)

*** Just try "On Error Resume Next" ***

Put the DLL's and OCX's in Windows\System, copy all thr rest to wherever you like (e.g. C:\Program Files\Super Editor)

    Put the .pl and .html's in a "Fav" sub directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Super Editor\Fav).

This may give you problems because setup registers the ocx's, which it doesn't if you just copy them to Win\Sys. I suggest you just let setup overwrite with the newest versions, a lot easier and no reason why not (they should be backwards compatible)
