Arial Game Design - Just need a lil help!
Hi Everyone,
I am basically writing out of desperation. I am writing an arial based "driving" game similar to that of GTA & GTA2. After about twenty hours of spinning my wheels (no pun intended), I have come to the realization that I need help.
The way my game works, is it fills a var array (map(x,y) with a number in each cell. This number corresponds to a road piece. My goal was to have the computer read the map, and know what sprites (road pieces) to animate to the screen. This however has been ineffective. I can't seem to navigate my map graphically! I dont even know how to approach it! Any help would be hugely appreciated.
I have been using VB on and off for two years, and for animation I am using Nik Lever's SPRITEX OCX <- a great tool!
I am just hoping that someone out there has wrote a similar game, and can point me in the right direction.
NOTE: I did scroll back through the forums, and did find a post with some angle information, but I can't seem to find the "Craft" game everyone speaks of! Any help would be HUGELY appreciated!

The 'Craft' game is a little whizzo thing that PlenderJ has been making. If you find one of his posts and then follow the link to his homepage, you'll find it there.
He'll probably land in this room in a minute to extol its virtues anyway.
Gentile or Jew,
O you who turn the wheel and look to windward,
Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you...
