I used that MCI sendstring API code that you're so fond of posting on a regular basis :) but when i try to use it (on those occasions when it doesnt hang VB), I get the following error msg:
"MMSYSTEM257 Invalid MCI device. Use the ID returned when opening the MCI device"
I cant see why it wont work as it's a pretty simple copy-and-paste job (i only changed a couple of "Private" declarations to "public" ones)
Any ideas on where i've gone wrong?
