    In America...no one used arse. Ass means your posterior, as well as someone who acts idiotic, as well as a donkey.

    In England I believe arse is an idiot and your posterior and ass is a donkey.

    Not that is matters, but male asses are called Jack(asses) and females are called Jenny(asses). Being asses, they can't have children of their own. They are both sterile. Horses and mules make donkeys (or is it horses and donkeys make mules).
