How to get the IP # of a computer if I know it's name? (or the IP of the server?)
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation. 
(Just a heads-up)

Hmmm...
Does the word Visual Basic ring any bells?
Sorry for sounding rude, I need to do this in VB. Can you connect to a computer with Winsock using it's name as the RemoteHost?

You can easily determine the IP Addresses and host name using api's. Try using API's if you want the API's. If you want the API's tell me i shall give them to you.
