Hi,
A friend of mine has recently aquired a download called Evidence Exterminator. This application claims to destroy all History, Temporary Internet Files and so on to remove evidence of recently visited web sites. I assume he's looking at something he wouldn't want his girlfriend / mother to know about, I didn't want to probe too deeply.
Despite costing £150 this program does not do what it claims to do and only succeeds in crashing his machine.
I said that I would write him something to do this for him, I cannot stress enough that this is a favor for a friend and not a commercial project of any kind.
I can clean out the Temporary Internet Files / Content.Ie5 folders using ChDir, Kill and RmDir but for some reason the folder C:\Windows\History is not seen as a directory by VB.
Does anyone know how to clear the browser history, possibly by automating Internet Explorer, I couldn't find anything in the references list and Microsoft don't appear to have an SDK for this.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Rob Brown.
