    Stock Program

Hello Everyone. I have recently started to create an online stock exchange progam. It is going to run on a LAN and i have Sql server installed on one computer. What I am wondering is if I would be able to create a database containing all the listed stocks on an exchanges with their names and symbols. And my next question is the most important question is there anyway to download the updated stock prices from teh net. I current know that i can use the internet protocol and download a whole webpage and then search through for the code but is there a way to download all that information into a database on the host side and then just use the program to update that. just so that it keeps lag down when a user logs in and what not. If not then updating will take some serious time i guess. Downloading about 1000+ webpages and searching for the price. OK well anyhelp would be appreciated.

    Thanks Jeff

    Jeff,

have you tried using an array of webbrowsers? They could download simultanously from various sources, thus giving you more use of your bandwidth.
