VStudio.NET with Windows XP

I can't install VisualStudio.NET Beta 1 on Win XP Build 2469 :(

I think VS.NET "thinks", Win XP is Win 2K, because it wants to install SP1 for W2K and stops with an error.

Anyone knows how to get it installed?

there is a lot of problems with windows xp
suggestion: wait til next beta is released
i cant even get winxp installed cus it only like INTEL chips (i have a cyrex chip, it says it neets a PENTIUM chip.."
blah blah
just wait til next release
and by than
.NET beta 2 should be released as well
so lot of things will be fixed up
