Novell Chat App

We are running Novell ZENworks 3.0 at our school, and the school recently disabled Network Neighbourhood. This means that we are unable to chat over the network. Will a normal Winsock control be able to send messages through the network? or do I need some 'special novell' code?????

I have no idea. Help appreciated.
