    Video Stuff

    Hey y'all,
I've been trying for ages to find somewhere that I can host mpg videos that are over 3mb in file size and will also allow external linking. I used to store them on http://www.crosswinds.net but then they stopped me coz i was linking to them from another site (they have ads on their pages so i didn't want it there). Before that I tried Brinkster (formerly ewebcity) but they do not allow mpg file types). All others I have tried since have a maximum of 1Mb filesize.
    SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!

Thanks in advance (If someone answers, )

    Bye

spiffle2k: I am afraid to say that I agree with sail... You will be VERY lucky to find a place like that, especially for free... I will keep my nose to the ground but I don't think that there will be any good (free) results.

This may not be the answer your looking for, but you could still use Brinkster and just rename the file extension from .mpg to whatever is acceptable. Just inform your users that they will need to rename the the file back to .mpg

This is more of a short term solution until you find a host that fits your needs.

You can also zip them with WinZip, most places allow .zip files (or at least they should).

    Thanks for the help guys.
In the end i've decided to try zipping it for download but also use the real player format (.ram) so people can watch it straight away without downloading the full file and then watching it.

    Cheers
