    James Burke

Well, I just found out (reading through March's SA) that James Burke has stopped the Connections column for Scientific American. Does anyone know where he is going next, or if this is just a termporary break? I do enjoy his columns and his shows. They are insightful and very often times funny.

One more reason why Katie is Her High Royal Queenness.

Anyway, I just read the March column. And I still believe that anyone who wants to read his work needs to watch at least one of his shows. That way you get a good feel for his banter and meter. When you then read his column you can hear him in the back of your mind in that quick, on-going style that seems to keep excitement over an otherwise dull and dry subject.

Ohwell, I had plans of writing a script to download his columns and put them on my PDA so I had something to read. But if he has stopped, blah.

Peanut Press still has Asimov's and Analog.
