Who posted that Pointer program!
I tried you program. I deleted you program. Now when I boot up I get an error that the program could not be found.
What exactly does you program do?
If you program makes registry enteries you should let us know before hand.
Please list all the registry enteries you program makes so that I can undo them.
It's things like this that will prevent me from trying/testing someone else's program. You live and learn.
Thank you for your time and have a good day
I am so skeptical, I can hardly believe it!

Thanks that got that one.
How do we know that it did not write other registry keys?
Why would some one ask for help and not write in their post that their program writes to the following registry keys .....

hmmm...good question.
My apps (most of them) use the reg to store info.
if uninstalled the data probably stays there. in most cases it wont hurt anything.
actually a lot of purchased software does the same thing...
start poking through your reg..do searches on any software you have uninstalled. I bet you find stuff.

Now that I have deleted the run key from the registry, I get a different error.
My virus scanner comes up as disabled.
To the Admin, do you have the IP of the person who posted the program?

Sorry
I would like to apologize on behalf of the participants in this thread to isurftheweb. If you truly did not mean to add your program to the registry and/or corrupt a system in any other way, we hold no grudges against you. We are programmers, and we all make mistakes. Most of us have screwed up many a system at one time or another (just ask my mother, i used to cause her hell [thank g-d i moved ]). This is all part of learning and growing. We wish you luck in your future endeavors, and just ask that you be a little more careful in the future (and maybe post the source with whatever exe you put up).
Sincerely,
Aaron J Spetner

Well, MY policy,
If code = true then
call codescanner
call runapp
else
EndIf
Check out this nifty code scanner from http://lafever.iscool.net
Works great!!!!
