Directdraw

I just downloaded the directx 8 SDK but I cant find any info on how to use the directdraw functions. The help file on states direct3d (or atleast I think it only does that).
Could anyone help me?

There is no DirectDraw in DX8. You have to use D3D, or use DX7 for DDraw.
