Where can i buy or download a very basic version of visual basic, so as i can get started with simple games programming.
e.g.Rock,paper,scissors or hangman etc.
i have tried to do the above games on microsoft access but allways come up with errors plus it doesn't prvide the tools required for designing & coding.
Also is there a book for beginners, that runs a step by step (in plain english)to atleast get a hang of programming.
Any info on the above Q's would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought sams vb in 21 days set from barnes and nobles. Cost 39.99, you get two 29.99 books, and a version of vb that is limited only by not being able to build distributable .exe's.

Or you could find a way to get one on student discount, at 99.99.
