Hey jethro: If he put in NZ that's mean Scotland and Kenya and all those nations would have to be put in!
I thought it was a well rounded down question. NZ haven't won crap all! Well anything that is taken seriously anyway!
Meaning World Cup, Test Series, World Series etc
Not saying they arent good but they're still emerging to be one of the best.
Cyberwarpy: C'mon anyone who says Aust isn't the best team in the last decade are total fools!

Hey, by your definition India shouldn't be in either, NZ actually rated higher in the order:eek: There's got to be something wrong in how they are working this out:confused:

Hehe... Mabye you might be right...
If you've ever played Ea Sport Cricket 99/2000. In terms of performance, India is actually one of the best. Maybe because they might have the world's best batting order, but they also have the worlds worst bowling order! :)
Maybe I should have put NZ. Another question arises: "Why would I keep NZ in mind all the time...? Beacon: The land of No-Sheep!!

i voted 4 india because at last someone beat those bloody aussies!! :D
ill admit, they r a quality test side (even though shane warne is a fat tub of goo) and 2 put 2gether a streak like theirs woz no fluke
but tendulkar is the GREATEST batsman of all time, he is better at the crease than the waugh brothers combined!!
and why werent sri lanka in the poll?? they r another gr8 side, muttiah muralithuran is the ****
btw, england, try as they might, suck a** when it comes 2 ODIs.

ok the International Cricket Board(i think it is) rates Wisden as the source for world ratings!
This has best batsmen, bowlers and teams.
Last i heard the best batsman was Gary Kirsten Steve Waugh was 2nd Tendulkar 3rd.
This is based on Current Form!
But the best bastmen ever was Sir Donald Bradman don't bother debating this! Ghost Ryder.
India is rated so lowly because they cannot play good cricket away from home! I don't have statistics but i know they lost against Australia in Australia!
Whomever voted England well lets hope it was a joke! ;)
The ICB is also making a World Series Test Match Fixtures and will have a table apparently 1 season lasts 5 years + or something!

You guys must feel like smashing the TV each session. Every year the same, England win a couple of matches and suddenly they are world beaters. They then lose a series and we find out it was due to the pitch etc.
Take my advice, follow your Rugby team.....(hmmm the Union one your league team is friggin pathetic).....at least they can claim victories over Australia *shudder* and South Africa in recent years.

Quite right! Wisdons is the official ICC ranking system. Bad luck Indians your team is a hopeless joke that cannot play decent cricket.......well....away from home that is....at home they are impossible to beat.
South Africa are also a joke....as will be shown this summer when they play the pride of Oceania.
Beacon this cannot be right. Some Oz player in Tasmania is turning out for the Italian National Side:confused: a) didn't know the Italians could play cricket b) who the flock do they play anyway.................Hang about this could be a team the poms could beat:eek:

It's almost impossible to beat India on their homeground, because they are so different from other grounds... Also, Indians love bowling spin and batting against spin, anything else would be a weakness for them...

Whoa................................
They already play Rugby.....not too well but are improving.
They should love One day cricket, plenty of stats, and they only have to count to two to get the number of innings. A great advantage for some of them who can only count to 21 without running out of things to count:rolleyes:

If you cross the 4096 (or something close to that. Any number close to 4096 is too high to be significant!) posts mark, you can have your own caption as your status. Since 'Administrator' would not be appropriate, Kedaman has put a different 'i' in his status.
And Kedaman, make that 'a' capital.

Hmmm how do you think Bradman would have faced up to a West Indies four pronged pace attack, he didn't do so well against body line, which was par for the course for the Big Bird et al.
I think Tendulkar and for that matter Lara may be over their best form, too much pressure being put on them by their team mates and followers.
Am getting sick and tired of everyone saying Hayden has come of age....ok did well in India and will rip the Poms to pieces, but the South Africans will sort him out.

I agree the Don didn't do to well against the bodyline but as you know that is illegal nowadays! So to put him up against the windies i would still put my money on him!
It is not fair to try and say he is better or worse i suppose!
I mean he cut his career short fighting in WW2, didn't travel via plane but by Boat.
What i'm saying he didn't play as many games as he would now, luxieries he didn't have, didn't play for money etc etc.
I think it's even hard to compare both batsmen!
I retract my comment that Bradman is better the Tensulkar because there are to many differences is them now!
Tendulkar is one of todays best batsmen but i agree he was crap against the aussies and maybe past his expiry date!

Yep, you are right. He was crap against the Aussies maybe because of: Over-confidence or the Pressure the Indian media put on him to perform extremely well...
I don't think he has past his expiry date... he's only 26 :) MW and SW are about 30...?

Your right, his batting average speaks for itself. Was just musing, of course Steve Waugh had problems against the short stuff but got over it.
Currently in an argument over a World batting line up. General arguement on bringing Tendulkar in at number 4, cause he would have other batsmen around him to help with the pressure. Any one else got a line up.

My head!
Team not batsmen i though jethro was saying!
1) Gary Kirsten = Best opener, succesfull, quick, great fielder,
2)Inzamam-ul-Haq = No need to run powerful, aggressive,
3)Lara = Copes with pressure, skillful etc
4)Tendulkar = one of worlds best.
5)M.Waugh/J.Kallis - either both games similar except kallis better bowler.
6)S. Waugh(c) Inspirational, solid etc
7)Gilchrist = perfect wk/batsman, aggressive, sensible, excellent keeper.(name one better)
8)Klusener (vc) Bowl, Bat, Agressive
9)Murralitherean Tough one between him and warnie...
10)Gough good consistant
11)Mcgrath best fast bowler around, always good line/length
12)Walsh - bit old but still one of the greatest!
