I'm not finding any books on amazon.com that cover directx7 programming for visual basic. Are there any that I'm missing or are there none? Are there any you know of that are coming out?

See, DirectX 7 was released only quite recently. In that time, you can hardly make a neat project that runs on DX that appeals to anyone. Just the same for books. Give them a little time to write one up. 'Cos I'm waiting for one too.

I was thinking maybe a publisher was working with microsoft or maybe microsoft was releasing a book itself so that it could come out shortly after dx7 release. So don't attack me ever again, mister.

Sorry. Didn't know you'll see it in that light. (Which part of the message was attacking anyway? You don't usually join a message board, write 4 messages and say someone attacked you.) Microsoft hardly releases DirectX books anyway... the last(and only) one was for DirectX5.

There are two books that are coming out. The first one will be released in December. Do a search at www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) in the books section. Type in "directx 7" as your only key words.

Those 2 books are not for Visual Basic users
or they just don't say it anywhere.
