How do I find out how many new Messages there for a particular user on a mail Sever...? From VB...?

The example information I have is:


SMTP Server = mail.microsoft.com
Username = "BGates"
Password = "ILoveLinux"


The result should be something like this:

Result = "2450 New Messages"
