It's a character from a children's TV show ages ago, called "Trapdoor"
Don't you open that trapdoor! (there's something scary down there)...if I remember correctly ;)

That was the best programme. Admittidly that was when I were like 5, so maybe it's appeal has since been lost. But it's not shown anymore, so who knows.

it has 2 b said that trapdoor is cool and all of the older cartoons kick ass!! these nu ones (teletubbies and tweenies) are just acid trips, really, think about it :)

Trapdoor was related very loosely to Stoppit and Tidyup.. They were created by the same person and animated in the same studio... thats the only connection...

David Jason was the voice of Dangermouse
Terry Scott did Penfold
I used to have to rush though my evening paper-round as fast as possible to get home in time to watch Dangermouse
