    I want to get data attach in the Serial Port.
    Device is RS485. This is use to get Temperature.
    I want to know what is the solution to achieve this goal.
    currently i am using MSCOMM to pick the data but it is not working
    Please provide me the solution to this problem . what property of VB may i use to pick data from serial port .
    Kindly provide me with the appropriate solution

    Use a RS-485 to RS-232 Converter and then use MSCOMM32.OCX (Microsoft Comm Control) to comunicate with the port.
