Netscape & IE Table Backgrounds

When I use a background image for a table that has other tables nested in it, the bg image displays properly for IE but I get semi-tiling with Netscape. I have tried making the nested tables with background="" to let the parent table's background show through, but still with bad results. Is there a way to accomplish this?

have you tried not giving the nested tables any BG properties as to make the backgroung transparent onto the main tables bg image ? thats just me taking a rough guess at it because i use tables wherever possible and i have never had any troubles like that before. :confused: :rolleyes: :)

That's the way I had it at first, but either way, I don't get the right results.

what exactly happens to the nested table? if you are usinig notepad i could only suggest using a program and checking the code to see if it has maybe done something different that fixed the problem. give it a try ;)
