DirectX, DirectDraw, how to use it

I need some help on how to use DirectDrawGammaControl. I need it to change some gammavalues on my graphics adapter. I'm very thankfull for any information leading to me being able to adjust the gamma level on my graphics adapter.
Sample code would be nice :-)
