I have 1,000 scanned JPEG images (18 Meg each) stored on my hard drive and I've been trying to write an image viewer in VB6.
The 18 Meg JPEGs take forever to display and thumbnails below a certain size either don't show or seize the computer. And, the more images I load for viewing, the slower it gets!
Is there a way to load and view the 18 Meg JPEGs at a lower resolution?
Do I have to re-scan all images at a much lower resolution?
Is there a conversion utility that will automatically take all my 18 Meg images and convert them to thumbnails?
