Thread: what does the word "database" mean?

    well, what does the word "database" means?
    i write data to a .txt file and then retrive the data store in the .txt file to my form....is it a database idea?

    database its a file where you can store information (records), in your case its a .txt file, its a database like any other, like access, sql server, foxpro, oracle, ...
