I just got a Galaxy Nexus.
First impressions: WOW! This phone is HUGE!
Later impressions: This phone is incredibly slick and fast! And any negative comments I can think about the big screen is immediately overriden by how much information can be placed on the screen. It's a phone I don't feel like I'm having to squint in order to see text or have only a paragraph at a time on screen when web browsing.
Also, I can't for the life of me see where the pixels meet - the screen is amazingly sharp and fine, and for consuming textual information, it is a treat.
Compared to my LG Optimus One from before, everything feels like a massive step-up. The internal storage is 16GB, the speakers on the back is nice and loud for a mobile phone. The camera is good, but not iPhone brilliant I would say (I still get chunks of yellow in the photo when taking photos indoors with the light, but I suspect it is the light because daytime photos are absolutely fine). Also, I'd never thought I'd get used to the software buttons, but alas I have and hell hasn't frozen over yet. The new running app management system is also pretty neat too, although the button, when pressed, has a brief delay before the menu shows up, and this sort of irks me a bit.
Only downside I can think of is that it has no SD card. Apart from that, a very polished phone. If you like Android devices but are held back from your current phone for hardware reasons, you'll like the Galaxy Nexus. If you are an Apple fan, nothing here will light you on fire, frankly (it's the same old Android, but with a lick of polish).
