I vaugely remember a theory that everyone in the world is connected to everyone else in three steps
ie you know someone who knows someone else who knows someone else
Anyone else recall this theory?

You are thinking of degrees of separation. I know my MP who knows Tony Blair who knows the US President - so I am only three steps from there.
I think that someone suggested that you affect 20,000 people per day by your personal interactions and that anyone can be connected within six degrees of separation. Can't remember whose theory though. I think it was based round Kevin Bacon - people had a separation index from him - v. strange.
Cheers,
P.

Don't think it fully works try this as a starting point I bet It can't be done www.telesoft-technologies.co.uk

One of the girls I went to school with must have "slept" with half the population of the northern hemi-sphere by now, so it's ptobably much less than 6 if you use her as a link.
