How would I go about implementing any of the above? I know how to use the 3D sound, but what about EAX and A3D -- which are both used by Half-Life, Unreal, and Quake3?
As a sidenote, to anyone who has an SB LIVE!, LIVE! Value, or PCI512, I accidentally turned on EAX in NORMAL WINDOWS (wierd, eh? )! How do I go about turning it back off?

Monday Morning Lunatic
To turn off EAX, just go to AudioHQ and choose Environmental Audio. Just click "All effects off".
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".
