the price of milk has risen and is now 5.8 NIS for 1 litter. I would like to know the price in your region.
also went up : the price of gas, bus rides , housing , snacks
prime minister BB promised to encourage imports by lowering inport tax for stuff like dairy , it is just words though.

I buy organic soy beans on ebay and then make my own soy milk with a soy milk maker. I've been off milk, cheese and all dairy for about a year now. I'm not really sure what milk costs where I live.

I happened across this article today. Was listening to Tzvi Erez playing a Chopin polonaise on youtube. Did search on him and found article about him how he was involved in a ponzi scheme and then came across this. When some restaurant tells you that something doesn't have some specific ingredient you shouldn't take their word for it especially if that ingredient will kill you.

I don't know what 5.8 NIS equates to, but around my parts milk is about $3.00 a gallon

Re: high prices of israel
by the way I am only intersted in the price not what your country is
1 U.S. dollar = 3.40300417 new Israeli shekels
1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liter
10.209 NIS for 3.785 liter, 2.697 for 1 liter
3.102 NIS cheaper

Re: high prices of israel
So for you moti a gallon of milk would cost 21.924 NIS. 3.78 x 5.8 = 21.924
$ 3.00 translates to 10.209 NIS. So milk is approximately half the price here in the US according to what you 2 are saying.

A gallon of regular milk is about 3.85 US Dollars where I live. That would equal to about 13.060143 Israeli Shekels.

they don't do farming as I understand from protests. they buy the milk and sell it in retail (to stroes and supermarkets), they keep uping the price, they have this thing called the milk council which also concists of the 3 families and they decide together on prices and supliers to boycot and stuff.

Just converting from one currency to another is not enough. How about comparing the prices with the income. For example in some countries they make about $300-$400 per month, and if the milk is $2 then I wold think it's quite expensive...
Rent (monthly expenses) is also a factor. Half of what I make in one month I give on rent, yet the same amount is a year's pay in other countries.

So why don't people buy cows and learn to milk them? I am sure you could publish an ebook on milking cows, and milk these people.

Re: high prices of israel
Well, armies do need milk, beef, the cowhide to make shoes. A cow is a useful animal, no part of which goes waste. I am surprised it doesn't already have a chapter dedicated to it in your ebook.
Going back to the topic in question (I know I have sinned!) there are so many different milk prices in my region, I don't know which ones I should go b(u)y. At the very least there are cow's milk and buffalo's milk and in that too there is the milk sold by the government dairies and private dairies. It's all a mess, really, just like the ingredients in the milk itself.

Stuffing up sex dolls with potatoes and bombarding the Japs with them? That's never been tried before. Mighty interesting ploy ...

Re: high prices of israel
currently there is a protest of (as reported) 140,000 people, the slogen :
the people demand social justice
, the protest is against : high prices, high taxes, unimployment, minimum wage, bureaucracy, the help tycoons get from the government WITHOUT paying back what they loan from tax money politicians are not accepted to the protest as it seems.
140,000 > 9000
=>
it's over 9000 what 9000 9 thousand > 9000 over 9000

Well, most of the 'tycoons' have paid back the money they borrowed from the government. Even Citibank paid back the money.

Re: high prices of israel
I tried to buy an israel, yesterday, and the price as ourageous! Walmart has a 2-fer deal on 3-packs of israel, but i didn't need that many. I know some people are up to 3 packs of israel a day.

Re: high prices of israel
update from the kneset (house of public officials) channel :
they had this commity to check what is wrong with the municipal comities that increase house prices and found that :
if there is no sewege or electricity to an area construction is forbidden and stoped, and the owner of the area must fix that him self and pay for the demolition of his house.
on another commity they said : the money the tycoons get from tax money and don't pay back does not create jobs or fair imployment.

on the news they said today was to be a protest in bat yam city, I can tell you there wasn't
also this morning in the news they claimed a political milionair donated money to the protests, which was debunked by a leader of the protest that advocated the tent protest (they do not accept such donations)
I totally don't believe the news
