Hello. :)
In case you don't know how to delete, it is via the Edit button (and potentially "go advanced" after that).
To delete a thread just delete the first post.

Hello I don't see a Delete option after I click Edit and then click Go Advanced. That's strange, but you might not be able to delete threads in all forums... do you get a delete option on your latest post?

In that case I think it is only Chit-Chat where you can delete threads.

Yes you are correct :thumb:
In Chit-Chat section, you'll find an option to delete your own thread under the Thread Tools.

We should be allowed to delete threads in any forum, but we should NOT be allowed to delete a thread once someone else posted in it... makes sense ?

That'll be good. But CodeBank should be avoided. Because some members might remove their useful snippets after having some bitter experience with the mods or admins. I found one who had edited his post in CodeBank and removed the contents !

I agree, but those ppl abuse the system, and they should get a warning (or even ban) by the moderator/admin.
The correct thing to do is to send a private message to the forum moderator asking to remove the thread for whatever reason, if moderator agrees he will remove the thread. (I did that before... once... I think)

I agree with all of that, but I'm fairly certain that the forum software does not have the option... so if you want to delete a thread when you can't, just ask a moderator (either by the "report" link on the left of the post, or via PM).

We should be allowed to delete threads in any forum, but we should NOT be allowed to delete a thread once someone else posted in it... makes sense ?It actually used to be this way, but that ability was removed because of the constant complaints we received from people that lost numbers in their post count when a thread they were active in got deleted by the OP
