Even the emailing has been disabled. John/James, what is really happening?
Can you just shut down the site for a couple of days, fix the problems and then bring it back up again? I think instead of suffering for all this period, we better take a break and give you people ample time to fix it.
I am really worried.

Geoff,
Where does that error message appear? I've a feeling that is a bug, as it is meant to say 'this user has got email turned off', or something along those lines.

Well ...
For me, I went to my own profile and clicked the link 'Click Here to Email Honeybee'. The next screen gives a message, 'Sorry, this feature has been disabled by the administrator', so it's not to do with the user's choice.
I actually detected this problem in one of the threads I posted to, where the other member was wondering how to thank people as the emailing was not working. Then I got curious and tried to email myself and it has been disabled by the admin, not turned off by any user.
I say you take the site down for a good week and streamline the functionality. We can wait.

Yeah. Speak for yourself honeybee. I think you need to lay off the Admins. I am sure they are doing the best that they can. I really appreciate the work they do.

Chris, from my posts, if you got the impression that I was criticizing the forums, you have mis-understood me.
I know there are problems with the forums functionality, which we had not experienced since the beta was implemented. I know that the admins are doing more than their best to put up with our grievances and trying to sort out matters. My suggestion to take the site down was just to let them have a free hand in testing the beta thoroughly and detect the problems peacefully, instead of members complaining all the time about the disabled features.
My suggestion comes from a strong background of ignorance and lack of knowledge about the web technology. If you found it offensive, I apologize. I have never meant it to be discouraging to the admins.
John, James my apologies to you, too, if you misunderstood my suggestions and complaints.
