[RESOLVED] How to make it readonly ?
Hi guys...
Is there any way to make a PenDrive/ThumbDrive/RemovableDrive/USBDrive to readonly ?
I mean, I'll copy data into my thumbdrive and will copy it back in another PC. I don't my thumb drive to be spoiled by viruses as this PC is likely to have enormous amount viruses of all genre !
In old days, floppy disk have a swap button which will lock it. Is there any work around for thumb drive ?
Thanks

Re: How to make it readonly ?
I think blood is correct. But you can make the OS treat the drive as read only. There is a registy entry. Also some software, but I suspect it just does the registry thing.
VB6 Library

Yes only on one computer what you set that settings. When you plug to other pc it won't work because you not set the registry entry.

Thanks guys
When I start manufacturing thumb drives, I should certainly consider it as a unique feature.

Re: [RESOLVED] How to make it readonly ?
I don't think they cost more necessarily. Its just a case of finding one which has that feature.
