Plug 'n Play???

Plug 'n Play!? (I know what this is) Where can I find some help on coding PnP "finding" utilities? I need this so that this util will be able to auto-detect newly installed hardware. I know there's a PnP section on Microsoft's site, but I would like other resources as well.
Please post some sites on PnP here...
