I want to set up an e-booking system such as for a hotel or restaurant and wondered if there are any open-source booking systems already available? I have searched and not found anything free, just wondered if anyone else might know of any?

Alternatively, I can use PHP/MySQL and make a design myself although I wondered whether using Drupal or Joomla etc could help me develop it quicker?

My aim is to create a basic system where users can see what dates a room/table is free, view price and details, the book it and pay for it. I would need a back-end too for the admin to be able to view bookings, cancel any and so on.

Anyone have any experience in this please let me know,
