Can Vb Be Linked To Scanner?

hi! i'd like to ask... can i run the scanner by just clicking on a scan button i've made on my program? i need to know how... can u help me... pleeeaaassseeeeeeeeee!!

The short answer is yes, however, you will need to provide a little more information than you have

Are you wanting to have complete control of the scanner or just to trigger a scan

What image control are you using (ie: what activeX control are you implementing)

What is the scanner you are using

What kind of volumes are you going to scan

If you let me have this information I can discuss this with you in more detail and I can let you have some sample code which I have developed and I know works.

I used that in a photoprogram, you just need to implement the twain api into your project, get it form www.twain.org

Cool i have an answer for a wee change.

You can use the 'Kodak Image Scan Control' (Find it under Project..Components). Sorry I haven't experimented with it so i dont know much about its usage but i dont think it is that hard.
