I am having issues with windows shared hosting GoDaddy sites right now. I set up a monitor and got 2 of 48 attempts the site had an error. My site is asp classic site with no database calls. The monitor call is every 30 minutes so 2 of 48 seems high to me at this rate.

So, I am looking to see what your thoughts are. Here are a few sites I have found. Does anyone like these better then others? Ones to stay away from?

http://www.winhost.com
http://www.discountasp.net
http://www.softsyshosting.com
http://www.3essentials.com
http://www.reliablesite.net
http://www.arvixe.com/

Also, is there a question to ask to know its better then others?
-Your own application pool
-# of concurrent user sessions
-allows full trust
-if my database fills up, can you increase space to it without moving to a different platform (ie. from shared to dedicated server)

Thanks.

Amazing I haven't had one response on hosting. Are these just not good? I am open to anything right now. Just looking for something reliable and usually developers have lots of experience with different hosting. Should this question be in a different area?

Hey,

Personally, I use Soft Sys Hosting, and so far, I have not had any problems with them. Their support has been really good, and I have found that the number of features they have, more than cater for my needs.

I can't say that I have used any of the others though, so I can't comment there.

If your Web Host allows Full Trust, then certain things will just be "easier", especially if you are using pre-built solutions such as a CMS package. If you are creating the site yourself, it isn't so much of a need, as you can work at getting your application working in Medium Trust.

Your own Application Pool would definitely be useful.

And concurrent sessions, the more the merrier.
