[RESOLVED] Error running exe

Hello Im very new to VB and was given some code that i needed to add a feature to added the features works great. But when I used the make exe option when ever i try to run the exe i get the following error.

"You are attempting to execute an invalid copy of the ROMS application.

Ceate a shortcut to the file UPDATE.EXE in your <File path> directory and copy it to your desktop. use this shortcut to run the ROMS application.

..."

I dont have an update.exe file.

I've googled and googled and even binged but no luck. HELP PLEASE

ah... I'd suggest doing a text search within your own program. That sure doesnt seem like a VB or windows error.

I expect that is an check of somekind built into your software.
Inheriting someone elses' work sure sucks, especially if there's no documentation.

I guess when you say do a text search what would i be searching for?

Any part of the text of the error message.

Find the error message, you will find what is causing the error message

Is the ROMS applicaiton your app that you are trying to build? Or is it something else?

Okay I found the error by searching for that error. and well yeah I have no idea y the person was wanting what he was wanting but hey what you going to do any way all is good now.
