I've seen a few gadgets that will allow two computers to access the internet on the same line, and I was wondering if maybe a program can be written that works just as well. We have three computers that have access, but we can't all be on at the same time, and I was hoping that maybe someone knew of a way that all three of us could use the internet at the same time on the same line and account.
Thanks in advance,
bob

If you have Windows 98 Second Edition, there is a thing called a Internet Connection Sharing Wizard, which lets you do what you want. If you don't have 98 SE, You can download a program that'll do it for you. We use Spoonproxy, which can be downloaded from http://www.pi-soft.com/spoonproxy.html
It's quite good, but if you really want to do your own, you'll have to use Winsock etc and lots of other confusing stuff.

It can be done, but it would be very very hard to do, the easiest way is to get some gateway software (like wingate) and run it on the server pc and setup DNS for each of the pc's on the lan to the wingate server settings. Good luck in doing it in visual basic.
