hi

My program is made in vb6 and my sql is my database.The program is installed in 16 computers, while the database is in our server.My problem is the response time of my program is very very very slow and sometimes it hangs.but if i try my program in the server and change the connection to localhost instead of its ip address of the server.the program is good.the problem is the program is very slow if i connect thru network.

I tried my program at my house i have 4 vm 3 xp and 1 2003 server.I installed my program to my 3 vm (XP OS) and my vm server is my 2003 server where i installed XAMPP(MS SQL).And the program works great.

Same configuration with the server in the office and my vm server in my house.I think that there is something to do with the system specs of the server.The server on our office is only P4 with 1gb memory (windows 2003) while my pc at my house is dual core with 2gb of memory.so i need your advise guys.is there anything else i can do to speed up the network?
