Hi!
Normally Mp3 files can be played from Real Audio players, right? Well, if that is the case, why not use the Real Audio ActiveX control?

heh... maybe you just didn't notice the topic of this post... why does that always happen to me? Let me reiterate: Playing an mp3... without the extra controls...

Use the ShellExecute API to launch a MP3 file using the default app that is associated with it. Search for 'SHELLEXECUTE', i've seen it posted many times, and I know I've posted a couple myself....

I know there's a way to play an mp3 with PlaySound API or something, I'm just not quite sure. If anyone knows anything, and is sure it works on their machine, would you mind showing me how this works? Thanks.

You can use the mciSendString API's to play mp3's, but ActiveMovie has to be installed to do this.

Sorry.
I was trying to help. I guess I just made a mistake. I hate it when you do something nice for someone, and they can't be thankful. :(
