    Transparency - 2 Questions

    Hello everyone im new here XP

    anyway, i've been programming for a few years, but in GML, AS2 and C++ so Visual Basic (which i started today) is extremely new to me, though basic concepts aren't... But anyway,
    Question 1:
    i can't manage to get the back of a label to be transparent, so i can see an image underneath. I have this code:

    Code:
    Public Class Form1
        Private Sub Form1_Load()
            Label1.Parent = PictureBox1
            Label1.BackColor = Color.Transparent
        End Sub
    End Class
    and it isn't working... any help?

    Question 2:
    I have removed the border of the form, but want to have what is left (the main content) to be a particular shape. Is that possible or do i have to have it rectangular?

    1/ try this: http://www.vbforums.com/showpost.php...23&postcount=9

    2/ use the forms region property to reshape it. there's an example of using regions in my signature - irregular regions. the method applies to forms + controls
