Geting on the bus, not under it...
I've seen some comments recently regarding some people's feelings about the VB6 to VB.NET "transition." Phrases like "throwing [us] under the bus" gets used a lot. Or that .NET "broke the natural progression" of VB.
I'm wondering. Am I the only one that doesn't feel betrayed? I don't understand where this hostility comes from. Maybe it would have been better had MS simply just stopped work on VB all together. At least then that would eliminate all of the C#/VB debates. Oh, but then VBers would feel left out in the cold.
I've got it! Just stop all development in languages. Just freeze them. What ever features you've got right now, that's all you're going to get. Nothing more.
